Requirements for Students to be Admitted to Associate Degree Programs at Our University Through
Inter-institutional (Domestic) Transfer for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Spring Semester
FROM THE RECTORATE OF GIRESUN UNIVERSITY,
In accordance with the "Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-institutional Credit Transfer" and the "Giresun University Associate and Bachelor's Degree Education-Training and Examination Regulations", the requirements, necessary documents, application dates, allocated quotas, and other matters for students to be admitted to our university's
associate degree programs through
inter-institutional transfer for the
2024-2025 Academic Year Spring Semester are stated below.
A. APPLICATION AND TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
1. Transfers between domestic universities are made between equivalent diploma programs at the same level and within the quotas published by the Higher Education Council.
2. The applicant student must not have received any disciplinary penalties.
3. For domestic inter-university transfer, the student's overall grade point average (GPA) for completed semesters must be at least 2.50 out of 4.00.
4. Students approved for transfer may be assigned courses from lower semesters as deemed appropriate by the relevant administrative board.
5. Transfer to the first and last semesters of associate degree programs is not permitted.
6. Transfer to preparatory programs is not permitted.
7. Transfer applications can only be made during the announced period.
8. Having frozen registration is not an obstacle to benefiting from transfer rights.
9. In cases where there is uncertainty in evaluations not covered by the stated conditions, the provisions of the "Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Bachelor's Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-institutional Credit Transfer" and the decisions of the Higher Education Council Presidency will be taken into consideration.
B. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION
1. Student certificate
2. Transcript
3. ÖSYM result document (internet printout)
4. ÖSYM placement document (internet printout)
5. Official document showing no disciplinary penalties (for those whose transcript does not include disciplinary information)
* Original documents of the files uploaded during application will be required during final registration.
C. APPLICATION DATES AND LOCATION
Applications will be made online during the dates specified below. (Online application will be active during application dates)
*Applications by mail will not be accepted.

Evaluation Dates: January 20-21, 2025
Announcement of Results: January 23, 2025 (Will be announced on relevant units' websites)
D. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR FINAL REGISTRATION
Students whose transfers are approved by the relevant administrative boards must submit the following documents for final registration:
1. Transfer registration form

4. Document Stating No Obstacles to Transfer pursuant to YÖK's letter E.50957
5. Course Contents
6. Originals of documents requested in application (can be wet-signed, e-signed, e-government printout, or documents obtained from university official website)
E. FINAL REGISTRATION DATES AND LOCATION
1. Final Registration Dates (Main List): January 27-28, 2025
2. Final Registration Dates (Waitlist*): January 30-31, 2025
(*: For programs with announced waitlists, registration will be made according to the order on the list for spots not filled from the main list)
FINAL REGISTRATION AND WAITLIST REGISTRATIONS WILL BE MADE AT OUR COLLEGE.
