Importance and Purpose of Accreditation
The accreditation process is crucial for elevating higher education institutions' educational quality to international standards and ensuring its sustainability. This process enables the evaluation and certification of our educational programs by an independent organization.
Our School's Accreditation Process
As Giresun University Vocational Health Services School, we applied to MEDEK for accreditation on January 31, 2025, for the following programs:
- First and Emergency Aid Program
- Medical Laboratory Techniques Program
Current Status
Application Acceptance: Our preliminary applications submitted on January 31, 2025, have been accepted by MEDEK.
Information Meeting: Participated in the online information meeting held on February 20, 2025.
Contract Proposal: On March 7, 2025, MEDEK sent contract proposals to our institution.
Contract Submission: On March 12, 2025, contracts were submitted by our institution to MEDEK.
Self-Assessment Reports: On June 27, 2025, Self-Assessment Reports were successfully submitted through MEDEK Portal.
Deficiency Notification: On July 18, 2025, MEDEK notified deficiencies in the Self-Assessment Reports.
Corrected Reports: On August 1, 2025, corrected Self-Assessment Reports were successfully submitted through MEDEK Portal.
Current Stage: We are in the Site Assessment phase. MEDEK experts will conduct a site visit at our institution between November 10-12, 2025.
