Accreditation Activities

Importance and Purpose of Accreditation

The accreditation process is of great importance for higher education institutions to bring the quality of education to international standards and make it sustainable. As Giresun University Vocational School of Health Services, we have joined the MEDEK (Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association) accreditation process to document our education quality.

Programs Applied

  • First Aid and Emergency Care Program
  • Medical Laboratory Techniques Program

Current Status

FULL ACCREDITATION ACHIEVED!
Both of our programs have been granted Full Accreditation by MEDEK Professional Education Accreditation Board, valid from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2029.

Completed Stages

Pre-Application: Application was submitted to MEDEK on 31.01.2025.
Pre-Application Acceptance: Pre-application was accepted on 21.02.2025.
Information Meeting: Online information meeting was held on 20.02.2025.
Contract Signing: Contracts were submitted to MEDEK on 12.03.2025.
Self-Assessment Report: Self-assessment reports were prepared and submitted.
Deficiency Notification: Deficiency notification was received on 18.07.2025.
Revised Reports: Revised reports were submitted on 01.08.2025.
Site Assessment: On-site evaluation was conducted by MEDEK experts between November 10-12, 2025.
Accreditation Decision: Full Accreditation decision was granted for both programs.
