Child Development Program
Program Objective and Scope
The Child Development Program aims to train qualified professionals who understand the developmental characteristics of children aged 0-18, have knowledge about their habits and needs, and can take preventive measures for potential problems children may face. The program also aims to train technical staff who can identify children requiring special education and arrange appropriate educational environments, possess basic knowledge about child health and diseases, prepare educational toys, and are equipped with basic first aid skills. The program was established in 2012 within Giresun University School of Health Services.
Education Model
- 2-year formal education (Language of instruction: Turkish)
- 3+1 Workplace Training Model
- 3 semesters of theoretical and practical courses at school
- 1 semester of full-time professional training at educational institutions

- Designer in children's publications and toys sector

Program Facilities
The program offers practical training opportunities at institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Family and Social Services in Giresun province. For workplace training, students can complete their internships at institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Family and Social Services across all provinces. This enables students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
