The aim of the Physiotherapy Programme is to train technicians who acquire the knowledge and skills to apply treatment approaches for all types of injuries, diseases, ageing, pain, functional disorders and disabilities that cause movement impairment; who are competent in physiotherapy practice; who improve patients' quality of life; and who enable individuals to maintain their lives independently in terms of physiological, social, psychological and occupational functioning. The programme was established in 2012 within Giresun University Vocational School of Health Services.

The programme uses the classrooms and practical application laboratories of the Vocational School of Health Services. Students have the opportunity to complete their practical training at healthcare institutions within Giresun province, and their work-based vocational training at healthcare institutions across all provinces. This enables students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge through hands-on practice.
