Program Objective and Scope

The Physiotherapy program aims to train technicians who acquire knowledge and skills for implementing treatment approaches in conditions such as injuries, diseases, aging, pain and functional disorders, and disabilities that cause movement disorders. The program focuses on developing competent professionals in physiotherapy applications who can enhance patients' quality of life and help individuals maintain their lives independently in physiological, social, psychological, and occupational aspects. The program was established in 2012 within Giresun University School of Health Services.

Education Model

  • 2-year formal education (Language of instruction: Turkish)
  • 3+1 Workplace Training Model
  • 3 semesters of theoretical and practical courses at school
  • 1 semester of full-time professional training at healthcare institutions

Program Facilities

The program utilizes the classrooms and practical laboratories of the School of Health Services. Students have the opportunity to complete their practical training at healthcare institutions in Giresun province during practice courses, and at healthcare institutions across all provinces during workplace training. This enables students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
