First and Emergency Aid Program
Program Objective and Scope
The First and Emergency Aid program aims to train professional healthcare technicians who can provide pre-hospital healthcare services within the framework of legal authority and responsibilities, capable of providing life-saving and disability-preventing medical interventions during the period until the essential treatment of patients and injured individuals in the hospital. Established in 2011, the program aims to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Education Model
- 2-year formal education (Language of instruction: Turkish)
- 3+1 Workplace Training Model
- 3 semesters of theoretical and practical courses at school
- 1 semester of full-time professional training at healthcare institutions

- Private Ambulance Services
- Public and private healthcare institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health
Graduates can be appointed as Healthcare Technicians (Paramedics) according to the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS).

- Basic and Advanced Life Support Mannequins
- Airway Management Mannequin
- Simulation Mannequin
- Ambulance equipment (Ambulance stretchers, Laryngoscope, Splints, Emergency bag, etc.)
Additionally, students have the opportunity to gain practical experience at healthcare institutions in Giresun province during practice courses, and at healthcare institutions across all provinces during workplace training.
