Program Purpose
The purpose of Giresun University First Aid and Emergency Care Program is to train qualified and responsible health technicians who can work in pre-hospital emergency health services, perform applications accurately, quickly and effectively; make decisions under stress and are prone to teamwork; respect patient rights and adhere to ethical values; continuously update their professional knowledge and skills in line with technological developments.
Program Educational Objectives
Application Competency
To train health technicians who can perform fast, accurate and reliable applications in pre-hospital emergency interventions and can use application equipment and techniques at an adequate level.
Professional Ethics and Communication
To train health technicians who are committed to professional ethical rules, respect patient rights, and demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills under stress.
Technological Integration
To train graduates who follow current medical knowledge and technologies, provide integration with practical training; equipped with life support applications, emergency intervention techniques and field applications.
Legal Responsibility Awareness
To train conscious individuals with legal authority and responsibility knowledge of the profession and awareness of occupational health and patient safety issues.
