2025–2026 ACADEMIC YEAR SPRING SEMESTER ASSOCIATE DEGREE INTER-INSTITUTIONAL HORIZONTAL TRANSFER QUOTAS AND CONDITIONS
Pursuant to the provisions of the “Regulation on Transfers Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer” and the “Giresun University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulation”, the conditions to be sought, required documents, application dates, allocated quotas and other matters regarding the students to be admitted to our University’s
associate degree programs through
inter-institutional horizontal transfer in the
Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year are specified below.
A. APPLICATION AND TRANSFER CONDITIONS
1. Domestic inter-university horizontal transfers are carried out between equivalent diploma programs at the same level and within the framework of quotas announced by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE).
2. The applicant student must not have received any disciplinary punishment.
3. For domestic inter-university horizontal transfer, the student must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 for the semesters completed in the program in which they are enrolled.
4. Students whose horizontal transfer is deemed appropriate may be required to take courses from lower semesters upon the decision of the relevant administrative board.
5. Horizontal transfer cannot be made to the first or last semester of associate degree diploma programs.
6. Horizontal transfer to preparatory programs is not allowed.
7. Horizontal transfer applications are accepted only within the announced application period.
8. Having frozen enrollment does not constitute an obstacle to benefiting from the right of horizontal transfer.
9. In cases not explicitly covered by the stated conditions but where uncertainty arises during evaluations, the provisions of the “Regulation on Transfers Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer” and the decisions of the Council of Higher Education shall be taken into consideration.
B. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION
1. Student certificate
2. Transcript
3. ÖSYM exam result document (internet printout)
4. ÖSYM placement document (internet printout)
5. Official document indicating that the student has not received any disciplinary punishment (for those whose transcript does not include disciplinary information)
The originals of the documents uploaded to the system during application will be requested during final registration.
C. APPLICATION DATES AND PLACE
Applications will be submitted online on the dates specified below (the online application system will be active during the application period).
Applications by post will not be accepted.

Announcement of Results : 29 January 2026 (Results will be announced on the websites of the relevant units.)
Ç. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR FINAL REGISTRATION
The following documents are required for final registration from students whose horizontal transfer applications have been approved by the relevant administrative boards:
1. Horizontal transfer registration form

3. Passport-size photograph (2 copies)
4. Course contents/syllabi
5. A document stating that there is no obstacle to horizontal transfer, pursuant to the CoHE letter numbered E.50957
6. Originals of the documents requested during application (wet-signed, e-signed, e-government output, or documents obtained from the official university website are all acceptable)
D. FINAL REGISTRATION DATES AND PLACE
1. Final Registration Dates (Main List): 02 – 03 February 2026
2. Final Registration Dates (Reserve List*): 05 – 06 February 2026
(* In programs where a reserve list is announced, registration will be made according to the ranking on the list in place of candidates from the main list who do not complete registration.)
E. FINAL AND RESERVE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE CARRIED OUT AT THE VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS OF HEALTH SERVICES.
