2025 YKS Registration Announcement
DEAR STUDENT,
According to the 2025-YKS placement results, you have gained the right to enroll in our University. We congratulate you for choosing our University for one of the most important stages of your education, and we wish you continued success both during your higher education and in your future life. WELCOME TO OUR UNIVERSITY.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES:
Students who are entitled to register at our university according to the 2025-YKS placement results may either register electronically (e-registration) using their e-Government password, or in person by coming to our University. Necessary information regarding registrations is provided below.
Candidates who have earned the right to enroll in a higher education institution but are still in the process of graduation from secondary education institutions, associate or undergraduate programs, and who will take internship, resit or single course exams, will be given provisional registration between September 1-5, 2025. If these candidates submit their graduation documents to the relevant unit by the end of working hours on December 31, 2025, and for candidates placed in higher education institutions from Open High Schools by January 30, 2026, their official registrations will be finalized. Those who fail to prove their graduation by these dates will have their provisional registrations cancelled, and those who do not apply for provisional registration within the specified dates will not be registered.
1. REGISTRATION DATES:
- Electronic Registrations (e-registration): September 1-3, 2025
- In-Person Registrations: Students who wish to register by coming to our University may apply to the relevant unit between September 1-5, 2025.

2. ELECTRONIC REGISTRATION:
- Electronic registration is optional, not mandatory. Students who do not prefer or cannot complete electronic registration due to compulsory reasons must apply to their placed unit for in-person registration.
- Students wishing to register electronically must obtain an e-Government password from PTT branches.
- Students who wish to complete e-registration may do so between September 1-3, 2025 via the “Council of Higher Education” section under e-services at https://www.turkiye.gov.tr.

- The student’s placement information will automatically be retrieved from ÖSYM data; military status information from the Military Recruitment Office, and high school graduation information from the Ministry of National Education will also appear on the same screen. Military status will not prevent registration. However, students whose high school graduation information cannot be retrieved will not be able to complete e-registration and will be directed to our University for in-person registration.
- Candidates who do not complete in-person or electronic registration within the specified period will lose their right to register.
- Students who complete electronic registration must keep a printed barcode copy showing that they are registered.
- Electronic registration is not available for programs admitting students through special talent exams. In addition, some programs require additional documents. Students placed in these programs must complete in-person registration.
- Electronic registration via e-Government (e-Registration) is final; students who complete this process are not required to come to the University or submit any documents before classes begin (September 15, 2025).
3. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION:
- Candidates who wish to register in person must apply themselves. Registration by mail will not be accepted.
- In compulsory cases, registration may be done with a notarized power of attorney.
- Candidates who fail to register within the specified dates will not have any claim to rights.
Documents Required for In-Person Registration
a- Registration Form (two copies, filled out, signed by the student and the registration officer, one kept by the student and one submitted to the officer).

b- For students whose graduation information cannot be retrieved from the “Ministry of Education High School Graduation Inquiry” system: the original and a photocopy of the high school diploma or a newly dated graduation certificate (original will be returned after verification).
Students placed through quotas reserved for women aged 34 and above will not be registered if they are found to have graduated from any undergraduate program. Likewise, those placed in associate degree programs but previously graduated from one will not be registered. Such candidates will lose all rights arising from their placement.
4. TUITION FEES
- Normal education students who are also enrolled in another higher education institution must pay tuition fees.
- Tuition fees can be paid between September 8-12, 2025 via Ziraat Bank internet banking or ATMs using the student number.

5. CANDIDATES WHO CANNOT REGISTER:
According to the Higher Education General Assembly decision, candidates cannot be simultaneously enrolled in two associate or two undergraduate programs in formal education. Therefore, candidates in this situation must withdraw from their current institution before registering in the newly placed program.
6. MILITARY STATUS:
Candidates falling under the following will be subject to:
a) Those who have lost the right to defer military service according to Law No. 1111 and Ministry of National Defense directives,
b) Those who have completed a two or three-year higher education program and want to enroll in another program shorter than four years without having completed military service,
c) Those who have completed a program of four years or more but have not completed military service,
These candidates will still be registered if placed in any program. However, if their military deferment period ends, their registration will be suspended until they complete their service.
7. COURSE REGISTRATION:
- First-year fall semester course registrations (excluding electives) will be completed by the Registrar’s Office. Elective course selections will be carried out by the relevant faculty/school/vocational school in the first week of classes (September 15-19, 2025).
- Students who fail to register for courses will not be able to attend classes or exams in the fall semester of the 2025-2026 academic year and will lose student rights.
8. FOREIGN LANGUAGE EXEMPTION EXAM:
- Students enrolled in programs with compulsory preparatory classes, or those with compulsory foreign language courses, must apply via the form available on the School of Foreign Languages (YDYO) website. Details are provided on the website. No exemption exam will be held outside the dates specified in the YDYO academic calendar (except for additional placement). Students must take the exam on the specified date.

9. EXEMPTION PROCEDURES:
- Students who have previously studied or graduated from another higher education institution, or who are placed through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), must apply with approved transcripts and course descriptions within 10 business days from the start of the semester to request exemption.
10. START OF CLASSES:
- The 2025-2026 academic year fall semester will begin on September 15, 2025 at our University.
