Medical Laboratory Techniques Program

The Medical Laboratory Techniques program aims to train technicians who can effectively use laboratory equipment in healthcare institutions' diagnosis and treatment processes and perform medical analyses accurately and reliably. The program aims to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The program was established in 2011 within Giresun University School of Health Services.

• 2-year formal education (Language of instruction: Turkish)
• 3+1 Workplace Training Model
• 3 semesters of theoretical and practical courses at school
• 1 semester of full-time professional training at healthcare institutions

• Laboratory units of public healthcare institutions
• Laboratory units of private healthcare institutions
• Medical analysis laboratories
• Research laboratories
• Other units providing laboratory services

The program utilizes the classrooms and practical laboratories of the School of Health Services. Students have the opportunity to complete their practical training at healthcare institutions in Giresun province during practice courses, and at healthcare institutions across all provinces during workplace training. This enables students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
