Purpose & Scope

The Tele-Health Technician Programme, offered within Giresun University Vocational School of Health Services, was established to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in remote healthcare services and health informatics. The programme welcomed its first students in the 2025–2026 academic year.

The programme equips students with knowledge and practical skills in tele-health, teleconsultation, mobile health applications, wearable technologies, health information systems, and remote patient monitoring infrastructure. Students are also trained to uphold ethics, patient safety, data privacy, and relevant legal regulations.

To contribute to public health, the digitalisation of healthcare, and sustainable development by training health technicians who are proficient in digital health technologies, patient-centred, committed to ethical principles, innovative, analytical, and oriented toward teamwork.

To be an innovative, leading education programme in digital health technologies and remote healthcare services — one that upholds ethical values, prioritises patient safety, and safeguards data privacy.

Programme Structure & Duration
2-Year Full-Time Education
The language of instruction is Turkish. The programme consists of a total of 4 semesters.
3+1 Work-Based Learning Model
The first three semesters consist of theoretical and applied coursework at the school. In the 3rd or 4th semester, students complete full-time on-site training at healthcare institutions.
Practical Experience
Students complete applied training at healthcare facilities in Giresun province, and internships at tele-health and digital health units across all provinces in Türkiye.
