As part of the 2-8 November Children with Leukaemia Week, an orange ribbon event was held by the academic staff and students of the Vocational School of Health Services in order to raise awareness. With the aim of building this awareness on campus, it was emphasised to the staff and students of our university, first of all, that leukaemia is not contagious and, in addition, the importance of drawing attention to leukaemia and other leukaemia-related types of blood cancer, educating the public, and supporting individuals and families fighting leukaemia. We thank our students, our academic staff and the event coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sevim Çiftçi YEGİN, Head of the Department of Health Care Services of our Vocational School, for their contributions to the event.
