"Career Journey in Pre-Hospital Emergency Health Services" Event Held

The First and Emergency Care Program, in collaboration with the Paramedic and Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Association (PARHAD), organized the event titled "Career Journey in Pre-Hospital Emergency Health Services."

Held on May 5, 2026, the event brought future paramedics together with experienced professionals in the field, under the leadership of Lect. Figen ÇİÇEK, a faculty member of the First and Emergency Care Program.

Attending as the guest of honor, Dr. Emre ŞENGÜN, Deputy Head of Emergency Health Services, highlighted the importance of paramedics in pre-hospital emergency health care, emphasizing their critical roles in ambulance services, emergency departments, and field operations.

During the event, key topics shared with participants included the safe operation of ambulances, the activities of UMKE (the National Medical Rescue Team), mandatory training modules in the paramedic profession, electronic patient care record systems, current legislation, and field experiences.

Members of PARHAD and personnel of the 112 Emergency Health Services participated as speakers: Güllü ÖZTÜRK, Vedat AKKAYA, Sinan DEMİR, Soner TUNCAY, Erdem GÜNDEMİR, and Ümit GÜRSOY.

At the close of the program, certificates of appreciation were presented to the speakers in recognition of their contributions and presentations by Prof. Dr. Halil GÖKÇE, Head of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques.
