Within the scope of the "May Many Hands Kiss Yours" Project — supported by the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations under the Ministry of Interior and carried out by the Giresun Governorship — the aim is to provide protective, preventive, rehabilitative, and supportive services for elderly individuals living alone across Giresun, while promoting active and healthy ageing.
As part of the project conducted in collaboration with Giresun University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ülkü Kezban ŞAHİN from the Physiotherapy Programme and Lecturer Elif Yeliz ÇAKIR from the Elderly Care Programme of our Vocational School, together with their students, served for a period of seven weeks with the goals of reducing fall risk in elderly individuals, improving physical functions, increasing independence in daily living activities, and providing psychosocial support.
