First Aid Certificate Training by GRU Science and Health Society

A First Aid Certificate Training program was organized by the Science and Health Society operating under the Giresun University Vocational School of Health Services, in cooperation with the Giresun Provincial Directorate of Health.

The two-day program was carried out by the Science and Health Society, founded under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Serpil Demirci and chaired by Esmanur Ertürk, a second-year student in the Anesthesia Program of the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at the Giresun University Vocational School of Health Services.

Within the scope of the training, students received both theoretical instruction and hands-on practice on first aid procedures. Following the written and practical examinations conducted at the end of the program, students who successfully completed the assessments became entitled to receive a first aid certificate.

Through this training, students gained qualified knowledge and skills that they can benefit from throughout their lives, while also making an important contribution to their resumes with the certificate they obtained.

At the end of the program, certificates of appreciation were presented on behalf of our University to Expert First Aid Trainer Nurse Gülay Bilge and First Aid Trainer EMT (AABT) Hacer Tuncay by the society advisor Prof. Dr. Serpil Demirci and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Altıntaş.

We would like to express our gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Altıntaş, a faculty member of Giresun Training and Research Hospital and the Chief Physician of Giresun Obstetrics and Pediatrics Training and Research Hospital, for his valuable contributions and support in organizing the program; and we wish lifelong success to all participating students.
