MEDEK On-Site Evaluation Conducted at GU Vocational School of Health Services

Between 10–12 November 2025, the evaluation team of the Association for Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation (MEDEK) carried out an on-site visit to the Vocational School of Health Services at Giresun University. Throughout the visit, the team reviewed the school’s educational activities, physical infrastructure, and quality assurance processes on site.

On the first day, together with School Director Prof. Dr. Aytaç Güder, the team first met with the Rector and Vice Rectors, and then visited the university directorates. The team leader held exchanges regarding the school’s quality processes, administrative structure, and institutional support mechanisms. Meetings were also held with program chairs and faculty members to evaluate curriculum implementation, infrastructure, and sectoral collaborations.

On the second day, remaining agenda items from the first day were completed. The evaluation team also held meetings with students, administrative staff, and support units. Classrooms, laboratories, social areas, and study environments were observed on site. Preliminary findings were shared with the School Director at the end-of-day meeting.

On the final day, during the exit briefing, the team presented its findings to the School Administration and program chairs. The final evaluation brief was also presented to Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Can on the same day, concluding the visit.
