Within the scope of the "Youth and Safe Future" project carried out by the Giresun Provincial Police Department Anti-Terrorism Branch Office, an informative training session was organized for the students of Giresun University Vocational School of Health Services.
The training program was held on Thursday, 20 November 2025 at the Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi Conference Hall. Students of our school participated in the program in three separate groups. The sessions were held between 09:30–10:30, 11:00–12:00 and 13:15–14:15.
During the training delivered by the staff of the Provincial Police Department, important topics such as terror and terrorism, recruitment methods of terrorist organizations, substance addiction and its harms, and the negative effects of these on young people were discussed in detail.
The primary aim of the training was to neutralize negative propaganda directed at young people, raise awareness against such propaganda, and inform students about how to protect themselves from the harms of narcotic and stimulant substances that may adversely affect their lives. Throughout the sessions, question-and-answer sections were held with active participation of the students, and issues they were curious about were clarified.
The administration of our Vocational School emphasized the importance of such training activities in helping our students become conscious, aware individuals who build a safe future, and expressed their gratitude to the officials of the Giresun Provincial Police Department and to all students who took part in the program.
