Double Major Application Requirements
- Students may apply to the second major associate degree program at the earliest at the beginning of the second semester and at the latest at the beginning of the third semester in associate degree programs (and during the respective semesters in undergraduate programs).
- To apply for double major programs, passing grades must be obtained in all courses taken in the primary major program up to the semester of application.
- Students applying for a double major must have a Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 in their primary major program.
- Students must rank in the top 20% of their class in terms of academic standing in their current primary major program.
- Students with a GPA of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 who do not fall into the top 20% of their class may still apply provided that their central placement score is not lower than the base score of the target double major program in the relevant year.
- Students who fail the proficiency examination for double major programs requiring a mandatory foreign language preparatory class will not be admitted.
- For applications to double major programs with a Council of Higher Education (YÖK) ranking requirement, applicants must also meet the required ranking criteria in the relevant score type.
- For admission to double major programs that accept students via a talent exam, success in the talent exam is mandatory.
- Students cannot be enrolled in more than one double major degree program at the same time. However, simultaneous enrollment in a double major and a minor program is permitted.
- No written notification will be made to candidates whose applications are not evaluated due to missing documents/unmet conditions or those whose applications are evaluated but rejected. Results will be announced on the University's website.
